Safety cultures, operating discipline, and local trust cannot be recreated overnight. Canopy was built around the belief that ownership should match that reality.

Why Canopy Exists

Across North America, forests and forestry businesses are facing change in almost every way: markets, ownership transitions, evolving landowner expectations, labor constraints, climate pressures, and a growing need for thoughtful, active stewardship.

At the same time, many excellent forestry businesses are led by owners who have spent decades building trust and expertise, but do not yet have a clear succession path.
